Abstract/Description:
Between Oct. 1 and Oct. 13 the Boston Americans won five games against the Pittsburgh Pirates who won three at the Huntington Avenue Baseball Grounds and Exposition Park III, making Boston the first ever World Series champions. Two captions: "First World Series baseball game. 1903 - Northeastern's Cabot Physical Education Center now occupies this area" and "Photo shows the old Huntington Avenue Base Ball Grounds, site of the first-ever World Series in 1903."
