High efficiency collector for microwave tubesDepressed collector has basic configuration of a dish with a central cone and protruding spike. This geometry velocity sorts and slows the electrons down to minimum velocity at collection, and prevents backstreaming of secondaries and reflected primaries into interaction region of the tube.
