Short-term solar pressure effect and GM uncertainty on TDRS orbital accuracy: A study of the interaction of modeling error with tracking and orbit determinationThe TDRS was modeled as a combination of a sun-pointing solar panel and earth-pointing plate. Based on this model, explanations are given for the following orbit determination error characteristics: inherent limits in orbital accuracy, the variation of solar pressure induced orbital error with time of the day of epoch, the insensitivity of range-rate orbits to GM error, and optimum bilateration baseline.
