On the Propagation of Small Perturbations in Two Simple Aeroelastic SystemsIn this paper we investigate the wave propagation patterns for two simple flow-structure problems. We focus on the study of the propagation speeds of the waves in the fluid and in the structure, as the rigidity of the structure and the Mach number of the undisturbed flow are changing. Some implications concerning the sound emission by inhomogeneities eventually present in the structure are discussed.
