Effects of Finite Element Resolution in the Simulation of Magnetospheric Particle MotionThis document describes research done in conjunction with a degree program. The purpose of the research was to compare particle trajectories in a specified set of global electric and magnetic fields; to study the effect of mesh spacing, resulting in an evaluation of adequate spacing resolution; and to study time-dependent fields in the context of substorm dipolarizations of the magnetospheric tail.
