This master thesis focuses on the transport of several streams of JPEG-XS video over an IP network using multicast transmission. It has been realized within the framework of the SMPTE ST 2110 suite of standards which provides a unified environment for the transport of media over IP networks. As specified in these standards, video streams are transported using the RTP-IP protocol. This work has been carried out in collaboration with intoPIX s.a., who is a key player in the development and standardization of the JPEG-XS video codec.
