This master's thesis explores the prospective trajectories of video and web conferencing software platforms, a critical subject heightened by the transformative impact of the COVID-19 crisis. The research addresses the pressing question of charting the future landscape of the market and identifying potential competitive differentiators. Leveraging interviews with experts, the methodology constructs potential plausible future scenarios, subsequently evaluated by a panel of other specialists. The findings highlight the emergence of technologies that may yield competitive advantages. However, the study underscores the intricacies and sensitivities inherent in predicting the future. In a rapidly evolving environment, this research contributes insights into potential shifts in the video and web conferencing domain and underscores the challenges of anticipation.
