| Abstract: | 初任セラピストは種々の理由から自己開示をためらうが、臨床経験を重ねるに従って自己開示の頻度は高まる傾向があり、このような変化にはセラピストの職業的自己の発達が関与していると推測される。本研究では、クライエントから質問を受けた初任セラピストが抱く自己開示へのためらいと、それが職業的自己の発達過程に与える影響を検討した。10名の初任臨床心理士に回顧的半構造化インタビューを実施し、質的研究法による分析と検討を行った。その結果、31の概念が得られ、【セラピストらしくなければならない】、【“セラピストらしい”やり方でごまかす】、【今の自分にできることは何か】、【自分らしいセラピスト像の模索】という4つのカテゴリーにまとめられた。これらから、初任者の自己開示へのためらいは初任者特有の傾向と密接に結びつき、職業的自己の発達に促進的影響を与えていることが示された。そして、「Thらしさを求める自分」から「自分らしいTh」という職業的自己の枠組みの転換過程において、援助意欲のコントロールという作業主題が浮上した。最後に、初任者及び指導者双方の視点からセラビストの教育訓練についていくつかの示唆が得られた。 | | Most novice therapists hesitate to disclose themselves. However, this hesitation decreases as their clinical experience increases. We hypothesized that this process of change is connected to the development of the therapist's professional self. In this study, the relation between novice therapists' hesitation to use self-disclosure and the developmental process of their professional selves was investigated. Ten novice therapists participated in retrospective, semi-structured interviews. The transcripts were analyzed by using a qualitative research method. The 31 concepts that emerged from the data were integrated into four categories: 1) I must always act like a therapist, 2) Imitating the way ideal therapists do, 3) Seeking what I can do for this client now, and 4) Exploring my new professional self. These results were revealed that the hesitation to use self-disclosure is deeply related to particular characteristics of novices. Moreover, this hesitation positively influences the development of novices' professional selves. Furthermore, in the process of transforming the framework of novices' professional self, the primary working theme was shown to be controlling one's own desire for helping others. Finally, certain implications for therapist education and training were discussed. |
