Abstract: Changes in family farm management can occur during two-generation management, which is the period of succession. This study examines the characteristics of these changes through analysis of a case study in Hokkaido. As a result, it was found that the characteristics of the changes in family business today are the development by the active action of the succeeding generation and the strengthening of corporate nature after the retirement of the parent generation. If such a change is possible across the board, the direction of development is expected to be very different from the past.
