Abstract: The oxidation of high temperature alloys will be studied at temperatures of 750 °C - 960°C and oxygen pressures in the range of 10$^{-20}$ bar < P$_{02}$ < 1 bar using a microbalance. Up to 800 °C the oxide growth is parabolic while above this temperature the evaporation of chromium oxide becomes more and more important. It will be shown that the chromium concentration at themetal-oxid-interface is constant with time although a clear concentration profile can be measured in the alloy.
