The theoretical treatment of the political aspects in the relationship between education and work constitute a main field for debate of a wide field of aspects and dimensions involved in this social problem. This article analyzes two educational experiences: “bachilleratos populares” (popular high schools) and the educational exchanges of the social plans, on both the State regulates and define the relation between the subjects and the education. In both experiences the State regulates and defines the relationship between subjects and education. Although these two spaces differ in their political educational objectives and organization; we consider that in both of them the relation with the State defines the ways that relationships occur and educational practices are generated. Therefore these two experiences have in common the relation with the right to educate as the right to work. However in this point there are differences between the explicit goals of each one not only in terms of conception but also in terms of political intensity
