Abstract

An East Indian family of a man, women and children outside their dwelling place. The group includes one who is trying to open a dried coconut. The hut, in the background, is made from wood, while the roof is made from palm leaves. There are barrels outside their home to store water for domestic use. The postcard is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Clark of Massachusetts, United States, postmarked 1939 and is postcard number 9.
