The hydrolysate of the crude proteins in seeds of Ginkgo biloba, and at the same time the free amino acids in the seeds, germinating embryos and seedlings have been examined by the method of Paper Chromatography, 2. The detected amino acids in the tissues of Ginkgo biloba are shown in Table 2. In these results, it is conspicuous that phenylalanine and tyrosine were detectable in the seedling, and arginine became less in the seedlings than in the seeds and germinating embryos, and asparagine appeared after germination. 3.
