Abstract:
The intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and angiographies (AX) are the gold standard image techniques for plaque assessment and therapeutic catheterization. The combination of these techniques may overcome some of their constraints (reliable volumetric estimations, lession spatial location, spatial plaque distribution, among others) and complement the data extracted from other reconstruction techniques such as CTA or MRI. In this work, we present a methodology to integrate both studies and obtain a detailed geometrical characterization of the coronary vessel leading to fruitful medical analysis for different disease scenarios or patient populations.
