抄録: Selective field-ionization electron detector at low temperature of 10 mK range was developed with a channel electron multiplier. The field-ionization electrode system is attached to the bottom plate of the mixing chamber of a dilution refrigerator and ionized electrons are transported to a channel electron multiplier at the 1 K temperature pumping stage through a series of ring focusing electrodes. The channel electron multiplier is heated up to more than 20 K with a heating coil to maintain its long-term operational conditions, while keeping its environment temperature to 1 K. Rydberg states in Rb with 80≲n≲150 were successfully field ionized and detected with this system at the long-term operating temperature of 12–15 mK.
