Abstract: The current limitations in computer speed mean that in order to compare lattice QCD simulations of hadron structure with data one must extrapolate from quark masses that are 5-10 times too large. In doing so it is vital that the constraints of chiral symmetry are correctly incorporated. We review some recent, exciting developments in our understanding of how to make these extrapolations.
