Abstract: | Several approaches are used to describe access to dental care among populations. While the most common approaches are focussed on the last dental visit, how long ago it occurred, and the place of the visit, there is also a strong interest in capturing a longer-term view of people’s access to dental care. Another approach asks people about their usual pattern of visits to a dentist. This section uses both approaches, and additionally describes people's experience of financial barriers in obtaining dental care. |
