Abstract: | As part of the University of Adelaide’s initiative to standardise the value of all courses to three units, a review of the Civil and Environmental Engineering degree program was conducted in order to ensure it meets the needs of students and industry. It was found that although the content of the degree program was generally adequate and was developing the desired graduate attributes, there was significant scope for reorganisation of the content. This has led to the development of a roadmap for the degree program, with clearly defined pathways in environmental, water and geotechnical engineering, ecology, pollution control, management and modelling and analysis, as well as a number of integrative courses in final year. |
