Description: | Extent: 80 minutes The Piano in My Life was performed at and sponsored by the Minimax Festival, Brisbane. It featured premiere performances of Custom-made Valses by Stephen Whittington and a new performing edition by Stephen Whittington of the film score Entr’acte, by Erik Satie. The concert also included Australian premiere performances of Imaginary Dances by William Duckworth, C Major Chord, by Philip Corner, Walk in Beauty by Peter Garland and Piano Piece by Terry Jennings. Most works were performed in consultation with the composers. This performance and other major events in the concert recorded and broadcast by ABC Classic FM. |
