Abstract: To attract, motivate, and retain students and increase their mathematical awareness and problem-solving skills, universities are introducing courses or seminars that explore puzzle-based learning. We introduce and define this learning approach with a sample syllabus and course material, describe course variations, and highlight early student feedback.
