Los cuerpos dóciles

Abstract

[spa] En el presente proyecto me dispongo a crear un homúnculo, es decir, un doble de lo humano o un muñeco que contiene un espíritu o una identidad. Crearé a este ser mediante una serie de rituales encaminados a traspasar mi propia identidad a una segunda piel, que posteriormente me arrancaré y en el interior de la cual depositaré unos materiales que dotarán de corporeidad a mi creación. El proceso de creación de este muñeco, a modo de representación del mito de la creación de nosotros como materia humana por parte de seres superiores; pretende evidenciar que somos seres totalmente construidos, tanto físicamente como en cuanto a conciencia. Mediante la metáfora del creador divino quiero mostrar en una experiencia estética que hoy estamos sometidos, más que nunca, a dispositivos que moldean nuestros cuerpos desde que nacemos, y antes. Desde que solo somos semillas. Asimismo, y como no podría ser de otro modo, lo hago desde mi perspectiva como mujer, siendo consciente de que estos dispositivos creadores de formas de ser, destruyen y construyen bajo su interés, todo aquello que nos constituye como ser sexuado.

[eng] On the present project my aim is to create an “homunculus”, that is, an archetype of a human or a figurine linked to a spirit or entity. I shall create this being by the means of a ritual designed to transfer my own identity to a second skin which is represented by a transluscent cloth suit of a flesh color, which I will later tear off from myself and the interior of which I shall fill with materials that shall endow it with corporeality. The process by which this doll will be created; as a representation of the myth of the creation of ourselves as human matter by superior beings; aims to attest to us being constructed entities, both physically and in terms of conscience. Through the metaphor of the divine creator I want to show, in an aesthetic experience, that today we are subjected, more than ever, to devices that mold our bodies from birth, and before. Since we are mere seeds. In like manner, and since it could not be otherwise, I do so from my perspective as a woman, being aware that these devices that create ways of being, destroy, and build under their interest, everything that constitutes us as a sexed being.
