Electromagnetic Scattering by Various Cylindrical Posts Located Inside a Parallel-Plate Waveguide

posted on 2018-11-27, 00:00 authored by Akshaj AroraIn this thesis, electromagnetic scattering of a mode propagating inside a parallel plate waveguide by posts of different cylindrical cross-sections is considered, in the phasor domain. The analysis is conducted for both TM and TE modes and exact solutions are obtained for various cylindrical posts. In particular, exact expressions for surface current densities on PEC surfaces and numerical results of the same are provided.
