The focus of this work is to approach the question of the classification of semisimple algebraic groups over perfect fields from the perspective of I. Satake's published lecture notes on the subject. This work will not cover every aspect of the classification, but will focus on groups with split tori. We will work through detailed examples of K/k-forms and the correspondence between the A2 Dynkin diagram and the algebraic group SL(3,Q).
