In 1956 the North Australia Railway took delivery of diesel-electric locomotives made by SULZER in the UK to replace steam locomotion in the Top End. These locomotives were designated NSU (being Narrow gauge and made by Sulzer). The image shows the new NSU64 which was to bear the name of Paul Hasluck coming in to the Darwin Station.,
