Description
This report describes findings from a soil and land suitability investigation undertaken during 2017-2018 to assess irrigated agricultural potential on Aboriginal lands in the Beswick area, south of Katherine. The soil investigation specifically targeted landscapes within the Beswick Aboriginal Land Trust area where commercially viable groundwater resources, adequate road access and deep well-drained soils were likely. The investigation covers an area of 1 160 ha, and has identified 265 ha of versatile land suited to a range of irrigated agricultural cropping options.,
