The Mangrove Monitoring Plan (MMP) is part of a long term Integrated Marine Monitoring and Research Program (IMMRP) for Darwin Harbour and Shoal Bay. The MP is based on recommendations from the Pilot Research Program: Mangrove Monitoring Sub-program (MP1) (Staben, et al., 2020) set up to develop a remote sensing mangrove monitoring program. The MP1 program provides a cost effective and repeatable means to monitor mangrove health using mangrove extent and canopy ‘greenness’ (PV time series) as indicators.,
