Biographical / Historical

The Yale Missionary Society was founded in 1818 as the Society of Inquiry Regarding Missions. It was reorganized in 1852 and named the Yale Missionary Society. It was named the Yale Society of Inquiry for a few years, before re-adopting the name Yale Missionary Society in 1860.
