Attitude change of educational administrative trainees by use of an experimental college seminar
This study is designed to determine if a single college seminar involving three interventions can be a significant approach to modify the behavior of school administrative trainees. The experimental approach combines the following three interventions: (1) reading and discussion of "change" literature in organizations including schools; (2) participation in micro-laboratory training sessions designed to promote change and flexibility in attitudes and approaches to dealing with problem situations; and (3) participation in simulated planning for change in both hypothetical and real school situations. This study focuses on the two basic questions: (1) Will the participants of the experimental interventions significantly modify their behavior with respect to specified criterion? (2) If so, will the change be durable or persistent?
