Ka band two-port oscillator design at 30GHz

This project emphasizes the design of an oscillator operating at 30GHz and giving stable oscillations at the design frequency . NE321000 Transistor is used to satisfy the design goals. Smith chart and empirical formulas are used to obtain the generator tuning and terminating networks which are matched to the load properly in such a way that losses are minimized. The value of negative resistance which is necessary for oscillator to operate properly is obtained from the smith chart. Simulation tools, namely Matlab, Microwave Office and RF Microwave E Book were used to verify the consistency of results and proper modeling of the device.
