Securing Private Webs
Personalized search refers to search experiences that are tailored specifically to an individual's interests by incorporating information about the individual beyond specific query provided. Personalized Web Search (PWS) has found many applications in day-today lives of users. With the increasing use of personalization in web search, the risk of exposing users’ personal information is also increasing. In this paper, text mining techniques are used for performing various operations on the data for improving the search quality of the application. On the other hand, hashing technique is used to preserve the privacy of the user’s search query. SHA hash function is implemented to hide the content of users’ search query at the server end.
