The archaeology of the Loyalton Rock Shelter, Sierra County, California

In the last few years attention of California archaeologists has been drawn to the northern Sierra Nevada area. Heizer and Elsasser have established a two-fold sequence in the central Sierra Nevada region, which they term the Martis and Kings Beach Complex.
