Abstract

This report provides an overview of the perceived incentives and barriers to purchasing electric vehicles’ in the City of Guelph. The Research Shop, part of the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute at the University of Guelph, conducted this project at the request of, and in partnership with, eMERGE Guelph. The purpose of this research is to better inform eMERGE’s initiatives that promote renewable energy technologies, and more specifically electric vehicles. eMERGE Guelph strives to promote a more sustainable city by fighting climate change and helping people reduce energy and water use through the transition to renewable energy.

Description

This report presents the findings of a survey conducted by CESI's Research Shop in partnership with eMERGE Guelph to better understand the perceived incentives and barriers to purchasing electric vehicles in Guelph. The purpose of this research is to better inform eMERGE’s initiatives that promote renewable energy technologies, and more specifically electric vehicles.
