| Abstract: | This assignment develops an architectural proposal for a singular confluence in terms of economic activity and the natural heritage and construction of the "Quinta da Vila", a property located in the district of Porto, in Lousada. From this case study, its framing is researched according to a new paradigm linked to the wine tourism route - with an intervention that allows the conservation and conversion of its function. This seeks a balanced resolution proposal, between the current function - housing, storage and cultivation of the vineyard, with a tourist function within the "vinho verde" wine route. While on the one hand it is important to maximize space economically, one could not neglect all issues related to the natural, built, cultural and social heritage, as well as the existing human relations. From the outset, the diversity of spaces and its potential would allow the farm to gain dynamics that embraces the various aspects of wine tourism. For the achievement of this purpose, there has been launched a strategy of valorization, rehabilitation and qualification of the farm, in a project. The proposed intervention will contribute, on the one hand, for the preservation of the building that is nowadays degraded and, on the other hand, for the economic, productive and social level which would be an asset as a tourist attraction in the region, creating an important dynamic, both for the local economy and the projection of this region externally. We believe that the relevance of the present assignment may lie in the various contributions for a better knowledge of the region and its heritage values (architectural, landscape, productive, social, tourism, economic, among others) without failing to indicate a path based on a general project of rehabilitation. This work is also positioned as an essay or reference base to support other interventions in the region, taking into account the balance between human, productive and built heritage. |
| Description: | O presente trabalho desenvolve uma proposta arquitetónica para uma confluência singular quer ao nível da atividade económica, quer ao nível do património natural e edificado na Quinta da Vila, uma propriedade localizada no distrito do Porto, concelho de Lousada. A partir deste caso de estudo, pesquisa-se o seu enquadramento segundo um novo paradigma ligado à rota do turismo vinícola - com uma intervenção que permita a conservação e reconversão da sua função. Procura-se assim uma proposta de resolução equilibrada, entre a função atual - habitação, armazenamento e cultivo da vinha, com uma função turística no âmbito da rota dos vinhos verdes. Se por um lado é importante rentabilizar economicamente o espaço, não se poderia por outro, descurar todas as questões relacionadas com o património natural, construído, cultural e social, assim como, as relações humanas existentes. Desde logo, a diversidade de espaços e o seu potencial permitiria que a quinta ganhasse uma dinâmica que abrangesse as várias vertentes do turismo vinícola. Para a concretização deste desígnio é lançada uma estratégia de valorização, reabilitação e qualificação da quinta, concretizada num projeto. A proposta de intervenção contribuirá, por um lado, para a preservação do edificado que hoje se encontra degradado e por outro, ao nível económico, produtivo e social seria uma mais valia como polo de atração turística na região, criando uma dinâmica importante, quer ao nível da economia local quer da projeção desta região externamente. Julgamos que a pertinência do presente trabalho poderá residir nos diversos contributos para o melhor conhecimento da região e seus valores patrimoniais (arquitetónico, paisagístico, produtivo, social, turístico, económico, entre outros) sem deixar de enunciar um caminho fundado num projeto geral de reabilitação. Este trabalho posiciona-se igualmente como ensaio ou base de referência para suporte de outras intervenções na região, tendo em atenção o equilíbrio entre o património humano, produtivo e construído. |
