O processo de recrutamento em organizações terroristas

Abstract

Apesar de ser amplamente discutido nos contextos académico e político, o terrorismo é ainda um tema que gera algumas discordâncias entre os estudiosos. Da definição do termo terrorismo à estrutura e funcionamento organizacional de um grupo terrorista, existem ainda muitas questões que devem ser analisadas. Esta dissertação aborda um dos processos mais importantes para uma organização: o recrutamento. Uma vez que as organizações terroristas são compostas por pessoas, torna-se imperativo perceber como funciona o seu processo de recrutamento, nomeadamente quais os agentes, modelos e técnicas usados para atrair e solidificar uma mentalidade terrorista nos seus membros

Although terrorism is a widely discussed theme in the academic and political fields, it still causes disagreement among the experts. From the definition of terrorism to its organizational structure and functioning, there are still many issues that should be further analyzed. This thesis approach one of the most important processes in an organization: the recruitment. Since terrorist organizations are constituted by people, it becomes mandatory to understand how their recruitment process works, including which are the agents, models and techniques used to attract and consolidate a terrorist mentality in its members.
