한국 전통춤 춤사위 용어의 특성 및 표준화 탐색 : 중요무형문화재로 지정된 전통춤을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 한국 전통춤 춤사위 용어의 사용이 통일되어 있지 않은 데에 그 필요성을 인지하고, 춤사위 용어 자료들을 문헌연구의 방법을 통해 분석 정리하여 표준화 방안을 탐색하였다. 먼저 용어 표준화 연구의 동향을 파악하기 위해 용어학과 음악학, 체육학 분야의 용어 연구 방법과 내용 및 특성 등을 살펴보았으며, 춤사위 용어 연구의 역사를 춤사위 해설 연구와 분석 연구로 분류하여 정리하였다. 더불어 춤사위 용어의 개념을 규명하기 위하여 그 분석틀을 춤사위 표기법과 춤사위 분석법의 형태로 나누어 보았으며, 계통 분석과 조어론 분석을 통해 춤사위의 형태를 정리하고 이들을 바탕으로 춤사위의 의미를 고찰하였다. 춤사위 용어의 특성은 연구자별 특성과 춤사위 계열을 기준으로 자료별 특성, 해석 기준, 범주화 특성, 서술상의 특성으로 분석해보았다. 그 결과 춤사위 용어 자료가 중요무형문화재 지정과 발전의 사료가 되고 해석의 기준을 근거로 무용계의 연구환경을 확인할 수 있었으며, 춤사위 용어의 범주화 분석을 통해 계열별 춤사위의 특성과 표기 형태를 정리하였다. 그리고 춤사위 서술상의 특성을 고찰하여 춤사위 용어의 해설 형태를 살펴볼 수 있었다. 춤사위 용어의 표준화는 앞서 춤사위의 특성에서 제시되었던 범위, 표기, 해설의 문제점을 밝히고 그 기준을 정하여 표준화 방안을 도출하는 형식으로 구성하였다. 춤사위 용어의 범위 분류 방안에서는 기존의 춤사위 용어 체계를 구전된 춤사위 용어와 임의상 춤사위 용어, 춤의 구성용어와 춤사위 용어로 분류하였으며, 표기 체계 방안에서는 춤사위 표기 형태를 바탕으로 춤사위 용어 + 사위(술어) 방안을 제안하였다. 해설 체계 방안에서는 춤사위 해설 형태를 바탕으로 춤사위 용어의 의미 설명, 형태 설명, 과정 설명, 부연 설명 등의 체계로 그 표준화 방안을 고안하였다. 따라서 표준화된 춤사위 용어를 위해서는 춤사위 용어를 사용할 때 정확한 해석의 기준을 제시하여 논란의 여지가 없도록 해야 하며, 그 범위를 구전된 춤사위 용어와 임의상 춤사위 용어, 춤의 구성용어와 춤사위 용어로 구분하여야 한다. 또한, 표기에서는 춤사위 용어 + 사위(술어) 형태를 근간으로 하고 해설은 춤사위의 의미, 동작의 형상과 춤의 과정, 마지막으로 부연 설명의 체계에 따라 기술하여야 한다. 더불어 연구를 통해 발견된 같은 계열 혹은 다른 계열의 반복된 춤사위 용어를 분석하여 그 특징을 밝히고 각 춤 종목마다 구체적으로 연구된 자료를 바탕으로 실제 현장 연구로 그 범위를 확대해야 한다. 그리고 표준화된 춤사위 용어사전을 만들어야 하며, 나아가 남북한의 교류활동 작업으로써 춤사위 용어 통일안을 만들어 국가적인 차원의 연구 형태로 발전시켜야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to propose standardization and Characteristics of terminology for Korean traditional Dancing through literature research since the terms used in this area is not unified. In order to find the trend of research done in standardizing terminology, research methods and contents used in music and sports were reviewed, along with looking in depth of the history of terminology through commentary research and analysis research. To examine the notion of the terminology of traditional dancing, the framework was divided into dancing notation and analysis. The form of dancing was defined through system and grammatical analysis, and based on the analysis, the definition of dancing was considered. Analysis was done on the data characteristics, interpretive source, categorization characteristics, and descriptive characteristics, based on the standard of the researchers characteristics and dancing affiliation. The results have shown that dancing terminology is the foundation for designating an Important Intangible Cultural Asset, and based on the interpretation, it showed the research environment in the dancing world. Through the categorization analysis of dancing terminology, the characteristics and composition for each affiliation was organized. Through the study of description of dancing, the form of commentary was examined. The standardization of terminology in traditional Korean dancing was done by revealing the problems in limits, marking, and interpretation, and then proposing a standardization method. The plan for establishing the limits of terminology for dancing was suggested through using the traditional terms in traditional Korean dancing excluding random terms. Classification of terminology was divided into the composition terms of dancing and dancing terms. Suggestions have been made for the standardization marking system based on the composition of the dancing by using Dancing term + Sa-wi(predicate). The standardization interpretation system was based on the explan. The use for standardizing the terminologies of Korean traditional dancing should suggest an accurate standard for interpretation. Defining the terminology of dancing should be marked as Dancing term + Sa-wi(predicate), along with the meaning, shape, process, and additional explanation being described. A standard dictionary for traditional dancing should be produced based on various dances and from the real world. An effective method to apply these terms from the study should be found along with exchange activities with North Korea to develop an unification for terminology in traditional Korean dancing to develop it into a national study.
