사범대학 예비교사의 교직 전문성 신장을 위한 프로그램 운영 및 효과

Abstract

본 연구는 실천적 맥락 속에서 예비교사들의 교직 전문성을 신장시키기 위하여 시범 프로그램을 개발하여 실행하고 그 효과를 확인하려는 목적에서 실시된 탐색적 연구이다. 시범 프로그램은 최근 교직 전문성 함양을 위한 개념으로 주목받고 있는 `실천공동체` 의 원리를 활용하였다. 이 프로그램을 위하여 A 사범대학의 생물교육과 및 사회교육과 예비교사들을 중심으로 공동체를 구성하고 이 대학 부설학교의 지원 하에 운영하였다. 운영 결과, 시범 프로그램은 첫째, 예비교사들에게 이론과 지식을 실제 학생들에게 적용하여 교육과정을 실행하는 기회를 제공하고, 둘째, 협력적 반성을 유도함으로써 예비교사들에게 공동 발전의 기회를 제공했으며, 셋째, 지원 공동체를 구축하여 예비교사들이 안정적으로 과업을 성취할 수 있는 기반을 제공했고, 넷째, 교과전문성과 비교과전문성 신장을 아우르는 프로그램을 제공했다는 의의를 가진다. 향후 시범 프로그램이 정착하기 위해서는 이를 사범대학의 교사양성과정 속에서 어떻게 수용할 수 있을지에 대한 논의와 사범대학과 부설학교 간의 체계적인 협력이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to develop and implement a supplementary pilot program for enhancing pre-service teacher professionalism. The community of practice, which has recently gained attention as an effective concept for cultivating teacher professionalism, was applied in developing this pilot program. Pre-service teachers of `A` college of education in biology education and social studies education participated in this pilot program in a practical context. As a result, this pilot program provides these pre-service teachers with (1) an opportunity to connect theory and knowledge into practice, (2) an opportunity for growth through collective reflection, (3) an established support system for the community, and (4) a professional aid for both subject matter and non-subject matter professionalism. Therefore, in order for a successful application of this pilot program, revision of current preservice teacher education programs and systematic cooperation between teacher education institutions and affiliated schools are needed.
