칸트 초월적 관념론(Transzendentaler Idealismus)의 과거와 현재, 그리고 미래

Abstract

헤겔의 관념론과 비교하여 칸트의 초월적 관념론은 일반적으로 유한성의 철학으로 평가받는다. 그러나 이러한 평가는 칸트의 초월적 관념론을 지나치게 좁게 해석함으로써 생겨나는 오해일 수 있다. 칸트의 초월적 관념론의 진정한 의미는 비판기라는 시기적 외연에 의해 결정될 수 없고, 그것에 이르게 된 칸트의 문제의식에서 찾아야만 한다. 따라서 칸트가 초월적 관념론이라는 체계에 이르게 된 그의 문제의식이 이를 완성한 비판기뿐 아니라, 또한 이 체계의 문제점을 인식하고 이를 교정하고자 노력한 그의 마지막 노력들 속에서 여전히 발견된다면, 칸트에게서 초월적 관념론의 진정한 의미는 이러한 사유과정의 전체 지평 속에서만 온전히 조망될 수 있을 것이다. In comparison with Hegels idealism, it is the general view that Kants transcendental idealism belongs to a philosophy of the finite. However, this interpretation can result from a misunderstanding that confines his idealism too narrowly. The true significance of Kants transcendental idealism cannot be determinated by the critical period, but must be detected from Kants awareness of issues that comes to his transcendental idealism. Therefore, if his awareness of issues can be found in the critical period as well as in his last endeavor for the correction of philosophical systems, then the true significance of Kants transcendental idealism can have the full prospect within the whole horizons of those thinking-developments.
