Abstract
This study aims to analyze the objectives and contents of North Korean education in People's Schools. In 1980s North Korean education was regarded as weapon for linguistic revolution and Korean language was taught in order to set up Juchae Ideology (Independent Idea) in languages and literature. The Korean education in People's Schools point to North Korean views on languages, i.e., viewing Korean education as a means to train the student to form revolutionary ideas.

It is clear from the fact that they mainly select the language material which are function-based and suitable for teaching political ideology. For example, the story-telling in speaking instruct, reading aloud in reading instruct, and writing short passages in writing instruction support this claim And in language knowledge instruct, they select a word are related to cultural language and certain people-Kirn, Il Sung and Kim, Jung Il-gives additional evidence. It means that North Korea education is used as a political instrument for ideological education.
