학교교육투자에 대한 경제성분석

Abstract

학교교육에 대한 투자는 교육여건의 개선, 학력수준의 향상, GDP와 가계소득의 증가, 임금의 상승을 가져온다. 나아가 부의 축적과 지위향상은 물론 자기기록과 선발기준에까지 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 가계의 교육비와 기회비용 등 투자비용과 임금편익의 경제성을 미시적으로 분석하고 교육에 대한 투자방향을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 분석결과, 기회비용을 포함한 학생 1인당 교육비는 중학교까지 1,700만원, 대학교까지 1억원으로, 학력수준별 1인당 임금총액은 3억원에서 8억원까지 나타났다. 교육열이 높은 이유 중의 하나가 경제성에 있음을 의미한다. 학교교육투자효과를 높이기 위하여 전문대학의 질적 향상과 대학교육이 사회적 수요에 대응하는 방향으로 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.

The investment in school education leads to the betterment of educational circumstances, the improvement of one's schooling, the increase in GDP and domestic incomes, and the rise in wages. Furthermore, school education influences on the credentialism and the screening as well as on an accumulation of wealth and a rise in position. The purpose of this paper is the suggestion of direction of educational investment by means of analyzing economic effects of investment costs including domestic educational expenses and opportunity costs, and wage profits, microscopically. The result of the analysis is as follows. The educational expenses per head of student including opportunity costs up to the middle school, and up to the university, are 17 million wons and a hundred million wons, respectively. And total wage sum per capita differentiated by school career is from three hundred million to eight hundred million wons. This result implies that one reason of high educational fever exists in economic aspects. In order to increase the effects, the educational investment should be focused on improving the educational quality of professional college and on adjusting the university education to the social needs.
