Climate change denial: the effects of ideological polarisation and threat

This thesis investigated whether perceived socioeconomic threat of climate change mitigation policies explains the ideological polarisation of climate change attitudes. Findings confirmed the role of mitigation threat, suggesting that an individual’s concern about climate change may depend on their political ideology and the type of mitigation policy proposed.
