The short-notice deployment of the 1 RAR Battalion Group from 3rd Brigade in 1992-1993 was 'Exhibit A' for change. The lessons of the ADF's processes for projecting and sustaining land forces had not been applied and new lessons were discovered about operating the post-Cold War era.
