What role does typography play in cultural festival branding? Globally supporting one in every nine jobs, cultural festivals hold a significant place in our community, social and cultural landscape. Typography performs a key role in festival branding seeking to engage audiences in what is a highly competitive market place. This paper presents new knowledge which emerged from a large international study into cultural festival branding. Introducing some key ideas and considerations of this exciting area the Pecha Kucha provides engagement with ideas and shares the impact of using particular typefaces in particular contexts.Publication classification
