Abstract
The present study intends to promote continuous improvement in the teaching and learning processes of English, it is explanatory since the objective of this research is to analyze the good teaching practices applied by secondary school teachers in the subject of English in the urban schools of Zipaquirá Colombia, highlighting the most successful methods and activities and identification of school factors that favor these practices being beneficial to place students at the B1 level in the Saber 11 state test. The sample has been made up of 934 students from the 7 urban institutions of the municipality with their 34 teachers. A complementary methodology scheme has been sought, using analysis strategies based on both qualitative and quantitative aspects. When observing the results, his inclination revolves around playful practices, use of Tics and student interest.
