The Dziembowskis coat of arms Pomian. Genealogical-historical study
Abstract
Prezentowana praca podejmuje temat rodziny Dziembowskich herbu Pomian. Jest to monografia rodowa zawierająca zebrane w formie biogramów różne informacje o przedstawicielach rodziny, podkreślające wzajemne relacje rodzinne oraz zawierające wiadomości o prowadzonej przez nich działalności (np. transakcjach handlowych, karierze wojskowej czy też pracy zawodowej). Wszystkie osoby w opracowaniu mają pewną stuprocentową filiację. Opracowanie zostało poprzedzone opisem stanu badań nad genealogią rodziny, opisem źródeł, genezą i pochodzeniem rodu. Zakres chronologiczny pracy - sześć stuleci (21 pokoleń). Do opracowania oprócz podsumowania i wykazu bogatej bibliografii dodano także aneksy zawierające: tablice genealogiczne, portrety (XVII-początek XX wieku); nagrobki (do początku XX wieku); metryki (XVII-XX wiek); nekrologi (XIX-XX wiek); fotografie (koniec XIX wieku-I połowa XX wieku); varia (XV-XX wiek). Opracowanie oparto na następujących materiałach: księgach metrykalnych katolickich i ewangelickich, księgach Urzędów Stanu Cywilnego, księgach miejskich miast z terenu województwa wielkopolskiego, księgach ziemskich i grodzkich, aktach majątków w Wielkopolsce, księgach meldunkowe i kartotekach mieszkańców. W opracowaniu korzystano również z bogatego materiału ikonograficznego, a mianowicie: portretów trumiennych, testamentów, zachowanych nagrobków z XVIII i XIX wieku i z nekrologów.
The following dissertation is going to present the story of the Dziembowskis family, of the family coat of arms Pomian. It is a family monograph containing different information in the form of biographical entries about the family representatives highlighting their relationships and presenting the knowledge about their activities.[ i.e. business deals, army careers or professional experience]. The dissertation has been preceded by the description of the state of research for the family genealogy, description of the sources, genesis and the origin of the family. The chronological scope - 6 centuries [21 generations]. Some annexes with genealogical tables, portraits [17th-20th century], gravestones [till the beginning of 20th century], baptismal, marriage and death certificates [17th-20th century], obituaries [19th-20thcentury], photographs [19th century – the first half of 20th century] and varia [15th-20th century] have been added to the monograph apart from the summary and the list with rich bibliography. The monograph has been based on catholic and evangelical parish books, registry office books, town books from Greater Poland province, district and municipal books, estate documents, registry books and inhabitants files. A lot of iconographic materials have been used from e.g. funeral portraits, testaments, preserved gravestones from 18th and 19th century and obituaries.
