Do quadro ao verbo: a imagem em "Na tua face" de Vergílio Ferreira

Abstract

Com esta dissertação, pretende-se demonstrar a existência de uma dinâmica intertextual entre o quadro iniciador do cubismo, Les demoiselles d’Avignon, e a construção das personagens vergilianas da obra Na Tua Face. Longe de constituir uma imitação do quadro de Picasso, a obra em análise ultrapassa o alcance simbólico do quadro e pinta uma tela gigantesca que abarca toda a Humanidade.

This work intends to demonstrate the existence of an intertextual dynamic between the painting initiator of the Cubism, Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, and character building of the work Na Tua Face of Vergílio Ferreira. Far from being a mere imitation or inspiration, Picasso’s work in question exceeds the frame and paint a giant screen that covers the whole humanity.
