Abstract: |
This thesis reports on an experimental and theoretical investigation of the kinetics of free radical polymerization of styrene in the presence of dissolved polybutadiene. A kinetic model which accounts for the grafting of polystyryl radicals on polybutadiene backbone and the concomitant effect on the rate of polymerization of styrene was developed. This model is in reasonable agreement with experimental measurements.
|
