This research presents a study of teaching narratives in which it is analysed the motivations of the students of the Degree in Primary Education in order to be a good teacher of primary education through the biographical ... This research presents a study of teaching narratives in which it is analysed the motivations of the students of the Degree in Primary Education in order to be a good teacher of primary education through the biographical narrative method. The aim of this research is to understand the references that have influenced in the ideal teaching model of teachers in training. In order to do this, 6 students, whom are in different years, of the Degree in Primary Education have been interviewed. We have made an analysis taking into consideration a category system. The dimensions of this category system are: vocational, outstanding teachers, ideal teaching and influence. The results include the decision of study that degree, the description of these outstanding teachers, the ideal teaching of the interviewed and the influence of these outstanding teachers in their future teaching. To sum up, it has been possible to observe how these referents to be a good teacher are, in their entirety, teachers who have marked the subjects, both positively and negatively, throughout their educational trajectory. These teachers have taught them how to be a good teacher and, because of negative experiences, how not to be one |
