Rapid Identification Approach for Reusable SOA Assets Using Component Business Maps
Elgedawy, Islam; Ramaswamy, Lakshmish (2009-07-10)
Substantial savings from asset reuse result when the right assets are identified in the very early stages of a client engagement. Unfortunately, advanced identification approaches (known by having high precision and recall, such as behavior-based approaches) cannot be adopted in these early stages, because at these early stages, there is no many details nor much understanding about the client functional requirements. On the other hand, unstructured keyword-based identification approaches are known of having...
Flexible querying in an intelligent object-oriented database environment
Koyuncu, M; Yazıcı, Adnan; George, R (2000-10-28)
Many new-generation database applications demand intelligent information management necessitating efficient interactions between database gr. knowledge bases and the users. In this study we discuss evaluation of imprecise queries in an intelligent object-oriented database environment, IFOOD. A flexible query evaluation mechanism, capable of handling different data types including complex and imprecise data and knowledge is presented and key language issues are addressed.
Automated test code generation and execution system for Web
İşler, Süleyman Fatih; Betin Can, Aysu; Department of Information Systems (2015)
With the development of Web 2.0, the trend in application development has moved from desktop applications towards to web applications. Although there are different ways of testing web applications such as record/replay systems and manual testing, the common practice of web testing is accomplished by manually implementing test script codes from test cases written in software test documents and then run them on test automation tools. Implementation of test script codes is time-consuming process and also requi...
Flexible querying using structural and event based multimodal video data model
Oztarak, Hakan; Yazıcı, Adnan (2006-01-01)
Investments on multimedia technology enable us to store many more reflections of the real world in digital world as videos so that we carry a lot of information to the digital world directly. In order to store and efficiently query this information, a video database system (VDBS) is necessary. We propose a structural, event based and multimodal (SEBM) video data model which supports three different modalities that are visual, auditory and textual modalities for VDBSs and we can dissolve these three modaliti...
Realistic applications of action languages for worklow management
Alpaslan, Ferda Nur(2003)
