Charged transient species in the oxygen system have been trapped in solid argon and neon using electron impact, Townsend discharge, and laser-ablation methods. The previously identified O-3(-), O-4(-), and O-4(+) species are observed in these experiments. Absorptions at 1435.0 and 1429.5 cm(-1) in solid neon are characterized as cyclic-O-6(+) and trans-O-6(+), respectively, on the basis of annealing behavior, isotopic substitution, multiplet structure in mixed O-16(2) + O-18(2) experiments, and density functional calculations. Cyclic-O-6(+) is observed at 1416.1 cm(-1) in solid argon, a smaller displacement than found for cyclic-O-4(+) in solid argon. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics. [S0021-9606(99)30518-3].

Optical properties of GaS crystals: Combined study of temperature-dependent band gap energy and oscillator parameters
IŞIK, MEHMET; TUĞAY, EVRİN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2017-08-01)
Optical parameters of gallium sulfide (GaS) layered single crystals have been found through temperature-dependent transmission and room temperature reflection experiments in the wavelength range of 400-1100 nm. Experimental data demonstrates the coexistence of both optical indirect and direct transitions and the shift of the absorption edges toward lower energies by increasing temperature in the range of 10-300 K. Band gap at zero temperature, average phonon energy and electron phonon coupling parameter for...
ELECTROCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR OF MOCLOBEMIDE AT MERCURY AND GLASSY CARBON ELECTRODES AND VOLTAMMETRIC METHODS FOR ITS DETERMINATION
Altunöz Erdoğan, Deniz; Tasdemir, Ibrahim Hudai; Erk, Nevin; Kilic, Esma (2011-01-01)
Electrochemical oxidation and reduction properties of Moclobemide (MCB) were investigated at glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). Diffusion-adsorption behavior and some extra electrochemical parameters such as diffusion coefficient, number of transferred electrons and proton participated to its electrode mechanisms on both electrode and surface coverage coefficient were calculated from the results of cyclic voltammetry and square-wave voltammetry. Reversible catalytic hyd...
Magnetic ordering in two ferromagnetic sublattices of two mixed-valence iron(II)-iron(III) metal formate frameworks
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (2019-11-01)
Temperature dependence of magnetization (M) is calculated for two mixed-valence iron(II) - iron(III) metal formate frameworks (MOFs) with the two ferromagnetic sublattices below T-comp (compensation temperature) at 100 Oe by the molecular field theory. Temperature dependence of magnetization (M-T) is analyzed between T(comp )and T-ord = 39K (ordering temperature) by the power-law formula using the literature data for those compounds. Power-law analysis is also carried out for the field dependence of magneti...
Microwave-assisted ammonia decomposition reaction over iron incorporated mesoporous carbon catalysts
VARIŞLI, DİLEK; Korkusuz, Cansu; Doğu, Timur (2017-02-01)
Microwave-assisted ammonia decomposition reaction was investigated to produce COx free hydrogen, for fuel cell applications. Iron incorporated mesoporous carbon catalysts were prepared at different metal loadings, following an impregnation procedure. Mesoporous carbon acted as the catalyst support, as well as the microwave receptor. Complete conversion of ammonia was achieved at 450 degrees C over the catalyst having 7.7 wt% Fe, when the reaction was carried out in the microwave reactor system, using pure a...
In situ atom trapping of Bi on W-coated slotted quartz tube flame atomic absorption spectrometry and interference studies
KILINÇ, ERSİN; BAKIRDERE, Sezgin; AYDIN, FIRAT; Ataman, Osman Yavuz (2013-11-01)
Analytical performances of metal coated slotted quartz tube flame atomic absorption spectrometry (SQT-FAAS) and slotted quartz tube in situ atom trapping flame atomic absorption spectrometry (SQT-AT-FAAS) systems were evaluated for determination of Bi. Non-volatile elements such as Mo, Zr, W and Ta were tried as coating materials. It was observed that W-coated SQT gave the best sensitivity for the determination of Bi for SQT-FAAS and SQT-AT-FMS. The parameters for W-coated SQT-FAAS and W-coated SQT-AT-FAAS ...
