The reaction (p) over barp-->ppX was studied at three energies (T-p=1520, 1805, and 2100 MeV) and at several angles between 0 degrees and 17 degrees in the lab. The analyzing powers and differential cross sections of light meson production, X = pi, eta, and omega, were measured. The c.m. angular range varied between 0 degrees and 180 degrees where the incident energy combined with the experimental acceptance allow both forward and backward kinematical solutions. A theoretical analysis based on s-channel contributions in 2(+) and 1(-) intermediate states was performed. Narrow peaks were looked for, between eta and omega meson masses and extracted at 588, 608, 647, 681, and 700 MeV. The evidence for their existence is discussed in accordance with the corresponding number of standard deviations (SD).

Substitution kinetics of the pentacarbonylbis(trimethylsilyl)ethynetungsten(0) with triphenylbismuhine
Bayram, Ercan; Özkar, Saim; Department of Chemistry (2004)
The reaction between pentacarbonylbis(trimethylsilyl)ethynetungsten(0), W(CO)5(?2-btmse), and triphenylbismuthine, BiØ3, yields pentacarbonyltriphenylbismuthinetungsten(0), W(CO)5(BiØ3), as the sole product. The kinetics of the substitution of btmse by BiØ3 was studied by means of quantitative FT-IR Spectroscopy. The starting complex was prepared photochemically from hexacarbonyltungsten, W(CO)6, in the presence of excess btmse in n-hexane and identified by FT-IR and NMR Spectroscopies. The substitution rea...

Reaction of Ph2PNHCH2-C4H3S with [Ru(eta(6)-p-cymene)(mu-Cl)Cl](2), [Ru(eta(6)-benzene)(mu-Cl)Cl](2), [Rh(mu-Cl)(cod)](2) and [Ir(eta(5)-C5Me5)(mu-Cl)Cl](2) yields complexes [Ru(Ph2PNHCH2-C4H3S)(eta(6)-p-cymene)Cl-2], 1, [Ru(Ph2PNHCH2-C4H3S)(eta(6)-benzene)Cl-2], 2, [Rh(Ph2PNHCH2-C4H3S)(cod)Cl], 3 and [Ir(Ph2PNHCH2-C4H3S)(eta(5)-C5Me5)Cl-2], 4, respectively. All complexes were isolated from the reaction solution and fully characterized by analytical and spectroscopic methods. The structure of [Ru(Ph2PNHCH2-...
Tight contact structures on hyperbolic three-manifolds
Arıkan, Mehmet Fırat (Elsevier BV, 2017-11-01)
Let Sigma(g) denote a closed orientable surface of genus g >= 2. We consider a certain infinite family of Sigma(g)-bundles over circle whose monodromies are taken from some collection of pseudo-Anosov diffeomorphisms. We show the existence of tight contact structure on every closed 3-manifold obtained via rational r-surgery along a section of any member of the family whenever r not equal 2g - 1. Combining with Thurston's hyperbolic Dehn surgery theorem, we obtain infinitely many hyperbolic closed 3-manifold...
MIXTURE DESIGN APPLIED TO THE ELECTROCHEMICAL REDUCTION OF CaWO4 TO W
Erdoğan, Metehan; Karakaya, İshak; Goksu, Orhan Gokce (2012-03-15)
An experiment (mixture) design was created to optimize the process parameters of the electrochemical reduction of CaWO4 to W in molten CaCl2-NaCl eutectic mixture. Temperature, applied voltage and the length of Kanthal wire winding of the CaWO4 pellets were selected as the process parameters that were allowed to vary between the predetermined minimum and maximum values. The rates of the electrochemical reductions were interpreted from the variations of current and total charge vs. time graphs under differen...
BS-]GAMMA-GAMMA DECAY IN THE 2-HIGGS-DOUBLET MODEL
Alıyev, Tahmasıb (1993-08-01)
The rare B(s) --> gammagamma decay has been investigated in the framework of the two-Higgs-doublet model. It is shown that the branching ratio has a great enhancement in comparison to the standard model (SM) prediction. We have found that the ratio of the square of the CP = 1 to CP = -1 amplitudes, \A+\2/\A-\2, which is always less than one in the SM, becomes greater than one for some values of M(H)/M(t). We have also calculated the direct CP-violating parameter epsilon'(gammagamma(-)). It is found that for...
